They won't be able to reoffend while working in any official capacity as they would have to be CRB checked if they tried to work with children again, even voluntary work. The conviction would mean they wouldn't be employed. My daughter went as a helper on my granddaughter's school trip and had to produce her CRB certificate (being a Brown Owl, of course, she has one - renewed every year) before they would accept her.

It's the ones who haven't been caught who are the problem.

The pair were both given six-month prison sentences, suspended for two years, and ordered to sign the sex offenders' register for seven years.




So the dirty little pervs didnt even get sent down...........my god what is the justice system coming to.....all this means is if they reoffend in the next 2 years they will be jailed ..but they both walk free...to maybe go onto something worse ...

While I can understand the disgust things like this generate I think we should also bear in mind that 99.9% of primary school teachers are not like these two. No system is foolproof.

I believe they met at St Andrew's primary school in Oswaldtwistle where they taught.She was the reception class teacher there too but they had left there some time before these charges were brought about.I think it said in the paper that she had been supply teaching for a while up to being charged.
