Is it poisonous? If not then it wouldn't worry me.

Bite seems to be more like a wasp or hornet sting. Just goes to show that mother nature will always expand to were she can get a home. Whether we should worry I honestly dont know but I see it as a good thing in a way.

I don't mind spiders and I won't kill one. They eat flies and that's enough to get me on their side. I'm not sure I'd welcome that one, though, it looks a bit mean and nasty. :ninja8:

i don't mind spiders at all, just their webs up in the corner of rooms, just out of reach to cleam em without getting step ladders out

Not so keen on moths, not scared of em but massive one gave me the heebyjeebies in shower last night, it got the right hook then sadly drowned :o

Most would head to Westminster. Though there are a few small ones lurking around in the south having been stowaways on ships. :)

Now lizards we've got. Another month or so and the eastern fence lizards and 5 line baby skinks will be making their appearance. They are very cool! It is ashame you don't have them. They do a job on the insects as do the spiders, birds, snakes and toads.

We didn't have any growing up in New England, so I've really enjoyed being down far enough south to have them all around!

i wonder if the spider eats ants ?? if it does then it can come and live in my house and get rid of the little buggers!!!!!!

Re: would you want this is your garden?

I had a plague of spiders because there are a lot of trees front and back. They dont spook me but I couldnt keep up with the cobwebs. I got 2 spider repellers - both plug-in - one is a sonic repeller, the other sends a pulse through the wiring circuit and is sonic too. So I dont kill them - just make it so that they don't like living here because they find it too noisy :)
