oooh My Head...!
For the last few weeks I have been suffering with hay fever.....stuffed up nose, sore throat, sneezing, running eyes and a head that feels like it is full of soggy porridge.
I'm sure I am not on my own.....but just wanted to have a whinge. OK Whinge over. |

Re: oooh My Head...!
Would you like a little cheese to go with the whine? With a head full of soggy porridge, you might consider running for political office ... it seems like the major qualification these days.

Re: oooh My Head...!
i hope you get better soon and try hot lemons they do work

Re: oooh My Head...!
Oh you poor thing Margaret. That sounds awful. Are you sure it is hay fever? Do you take anything for it?

Re: oooh My Head...!
It definitely isn't a cold....I do not have the leaden limbs, or the aching joints.
Eric, thanks for the offer of cheese.....have you some nice crisp crackers too? As for politics...stick that (politely) where monkeys shove their nuts :) |
Re: oooh My Head...!
I take Piriton at night......it makes me too drowsy during the day....the other antihistamines don't seem to work quite as well....and I'm not good at taking pills.
It is definitely Hay fever....it has got much worse over the last week since the blossoms have come onto the may bushes....and there are millions near us. |
Re: oooh My Head...!
I take a drug called triludan. One a day and it causes no drowsiness. Piriton stopped working for me.
I suffer from Urticaria and seasonal rhinitis. That's the only trouble with Summer the flipping Hay fever. |
Re: oooh My Head...!
I spent all day yesterday indoors and by teatime there was a huge improvement. I have been out today......and the rain has lowered the pollen count so i am OK today too.
My daughters little boy started pre-school two weeks ago and we have to go via Mercer Park....I'm blaming that for my problems. You know it is really strange...when I went over to Oz I was there for spring and summer and never got any problems with their pollen....maybe theirs is different to ours. Another tip someone told me was to buy some locally produced honey and take it all through the winter and then next spring I won't have any problems. |
