Best wishes Brian

I've just heard that Councillor Brian Walmsley isn't so well and is in hospital.

We might be on opposite sides of the political divide but I certainly wouldn't wish any ill on him - he's actually a nice old chap.

So best wishes Brian.

I don't know him personally, but people that do only speak well of him.

I too wish him a full and speedy recovery.

I've heard that he isn't actually in hospital but he went to hospital this week for a check up where he was told he will be needing a heart by-pass operation in the near future.

I don't think that is quite right. I was told what he is having/has had done but I wont post it on here as it is for him to tell everyone if wants them to know.

In the paper last week it said that Cllr Walmsley had had a quadruple heart by-pass and was recovering really well. Again, best wishes to him.

I have to say that I think he's very brave to take on standing for re-election again next year. You need to be extremely fit just for canvassing, let alone for actually being a Councillor.

But if he's up to it then good luck to him.

Seems like that seat could be an easy target for Labour if they put up a strong candidtate though! ;)

And you never disappoint! ;):p

As it happens I'm really busy at the moment so probably not a good idea - but who knows what I'll be doing in two years time! ;):D

I didn't realise at first, Gayle, that you'd resurrected an old thread.

When I saw the title I thought it was a Happy Birthday thread for LankYorkYankee. LOL :D

Not very familiar with the Councillors Gayle, but pretty sure that was him that somebody asked after his health on Tuesday night .. he replied "Not perfect yet, but getting there" (was eavesdropping like) .. so that sounds good, doesn't it.
