Does anyone still watch these?

I still have a VCR but only use it for my CCTV, got loads of videos up in the spair room but dont watch um anymore.

Infact do they still make new videos casettes?

No not really, although I do have a BROS music VHS from nearly 20 years ago that occasionally gets popped through the slot :D

Yeah I still have them on vid but have bought most of them on DVD too now. You gotta admit VHS quality is ****e ;)

I've got loads of videos in a box upstairs, but dont have a video player. Should really throw them away and get the home videos converted onto DVD. Dont even need one for new home videos because i've just bought a DVD Camcorder. They reckon DVD's will be phased out by 2027 aswell. Can you recycle videos??

ive got hundreds of video's and i still watch them,alot of them havn't come out on dvd yet,i have dvd's too video's are far better because they are not as easy to damage,i will never get rid of my video's why pay twice for the same film

Just copy vhs onto dvd easy way to update - the only main ones i've got now are old evidence vhs, in fact need to get rid of a still working old 1981 front loader vhs recorder + remote:rolleyes: mmm need to get rid of lots of tat & junk now LOL

I need an old video recorder to transfer some tapes to dvd !!

Well be no use with that one as it was the days before scart sockets & auto tracker pmsl could lend u the other video recorder instead if need be which is one i use to transfer my vids to dvd hehehehehe

my dads got every only fools and horses on vids, all the sharpe films, roots (if anyone remembers it) and the godfather collection, he's got a book shelf full of um despite me buying him a dvd player a few years ago

ive still got loads of videos, especially disney ones when my daughter was a toddler:D

I've still got my videos and i still watch them as well. I got too many to mention. By the way how do you stick them onto dvds? Ive got a video of my dad back in the early eighties and a couple of my mum wouldnt mind them going onto dvd.

We still have loads but rarely watch them.Its always the same,you collect something on one format,spending a fortune to build up your collection then technology moves on,then by the time you've spent another fortune replacing it on the new format,it's moved on again:(

I recently bought a video of an obscure art house film, I'd been wanting to see for ages called Hedwig and the Angry Inch, from Wilkinson's for one pound.:)

anyone remember the V2000?
was one of our first video recorders, top loader, had to send the ruddy thing back, nobody rented V2000 cassettes so had to then get VHS instead!

i rember them you could record on both sides i had a few of them i also remember the wans with the square tapes:) :D
