The two weeks is from an Obby report where they interviewed someone about it. It is one of those useless things that sticks in the head and you tend to not forget!! :D :D

Don't think they could do it borough wide churchman, but there's nothing to stop them getting one for their favourite sites, if it was legislated far, then if they used other sites they could add more on as they go. I tend to remember useless things too:rolleyes:

Posted via Mobile Device when the notice to quit is served on the travellers, I think they have to be given 2weeks from that date and then a Court Order can be obtained.

Thanks for that input claytonender, but I'm sure with a bit of joined up thinking we could actually sort this problem out so as to do away with this problem which blights councils nationwide

Notice thay have been moved on from the sports centre car park, pity they didn't take the rubbish with them. Must be at least thirty black bags if not more and a load not bagged up. It is so damn annoying as we would ger fined if our rubbish wasn't binned properly:mad:
Also noticed there are three caravans on the littlle car park(corner of Brown Street and Ormerod Street) with notices pinned on the doors, looks like another clean up operation coming up. Just wondering if when they are moved on traffic will flow easier in the area, loads of cars double parked on the factory bottom making traffic movement very restricted. It is so annoying they seem to get away with parking up just where they want:mad:

The ones on the car park ( which is actually a staff car park for the council :D ) at the bottom of Ormerod St have been there on and off for a couple of months. They were cleared off a few weeks ago then came back with different caravans

Wonder if anyone had noticed this in Saturday's Daily Mail, from columnist Amanda Platell .. Never actually thought about it this way.

Sorry, no link, will have to type out :-

'An elderly couple from Hampshire were branded racist for suggesting, in a public consultation on local gipsies, that it might be good for community cohesion if the travellers cleaned up the mess they made before moving on.

Rita and Norman Brookhouse's views were condemned as discriminatory. What rot. Since littering and fly-tipping are offences if you and I commit them, surely not requiring one group of people to clean up their mess is what's really racist and dicriminatory.'

Good point. !!

If they choose to park/reside on a carpark, then the vehicles should be towed away and crushed, I would say that they should do it anyway but would be considered discrimination by some eh?
