You would think with tommy blanks been on fire a few times over the years they would have a storage unit for the tyres or get them removed say monthly.

its a wonder the petrol station didnt go up either with being so near to it, bet it stunk all them tyres!

I live around 2 mins walk from there and it did stink it smelt like burnt toast at first then that awful rubber smell kicked it!

A friend of mine down the bottom end of Clayton could smell it from there! She thought it was her washing machine about to blow up.

We smelt nothing. Maybe it was down to which way the wind blows.

That looks a mess, what's left, but oddly there are loads of intact tyres in the yard at the Willows Lane side.

im amazed that the petrol station didnt go up aswell,i think alot of houses would have been blown away if it did explode

It would take a lot of heat to blow up a petrol station.

A friend of a friend work at tommys, when I see him next i have no doubts I will get the full story.
