Went and got my compost today to put my plants into the containers in the yard;no chance of that happening; I would have been concussed by the hail or frozen solid and the plants wouldn't have stood a chance either !:o

This has nothing to do with global warming. It's not unusual, as Tom Jones used to say.

We went for a walk today - the geology trail at Clitheroe. Drove there, walked round the paths, sheltered under a tree during a brief shower and then carried on walking. Driving back home I was amazed to see drifts of white stuff - all we'd encountered was rain. From Rishton Papermill dip up to the Dunk looked like it had had quite a heavy fall.

It snowed 23 years ago when our youngest Robert was born in June, prety heavily to, if my old memory serves me correctly, so global warming has been around a long time.
