Walked passed Wilkos today & noticed a new shop front being constructed in the unit accross from that shop that flogs 2nd hand guitars,stereos,TV's etc(don't know the name of the place-next to the cheap shoe shop),anyway i don't think its another phone shop as it looked like catering equipment of some sort had already been installed.Another Kebab shop is it?Anyone in the know?

It's Greenhalgh's; we really need another pastie/pie outlet in town :rolleyes:.
Needed to supply all those Accrington dummies-aka sausage rolls.
So that's 2 x Mannings,1 x Greggs,1 x Sayers,I x Oddies,1 x Cookies and now a Greenhalghs.

Think there's any chance of a Starbucks opening up anytime soon? I'm quite partial to a triple-shot cappucchino on a Saturday lunchtime. :cool:

I'll do a deal , you take one of the 10 Starbucks within 2 miles of me and just give me one place to buy a steak pudding .

Can't be that classy, we've had one onsite at my works for ages now and they are opening a second one/juice bar in about 4 months.

Well, yeah, SJ, I take your point - they are a bit poncy, but for some reason I like 'em.

To be quite honest, these are the sort of caffs I REALLY enjoy

but sadly, you can't find many of them up North. :(

We certainly dont need any more pie shops, though there's obviously a market for it, you can get a decent coffee at Over Coffee across from HSBC they also do a decent lunch.

I haven't been in for a while Willow, but last time I went it was lovely, all freshly cooked and upstairs there's a little craft shop.

Divine is quite nice as well, (Warner street) in what used to be Soup IIRC

Yes it is a good cafe Divine. and it was previously Soup.

I know the owner, he is a sound guy, and believes in good customer service.:)

We don,t need any more i must agree there are to menny of them but they keep on opening shop,s like this all over the place its like accrington as gone to the dog,s now but what can one do a bout it

I like a good cup of coffee so might give it a try when down. If not well will have to find one some were. Not to bothered food wise providing I can get a sarny.

So come on then,Who'es eating all the pies:confused:Is Accy challenging Wigan as the pie capital of England.When will this government put a ban on eating pies due to the high cost to the NHS due to all the coronary heart disease these pies are responsible for:confused:.I did'nt know 5 a day meant 5 pies.

Well it certainly isn't me; I am partial to a nice meat and potato pie but finding a nice one in Accy is impossible, Ashworths ones are about the best you can hope for,some of the butchers stalls in the market do them but I would'nt eat a Greggs or Sayers one as long as I live and Mannings & Oddies are too greasy and sloppy. Maybe I'm hard to please but life's too short for second best,even in pies !
