Police Speed Trap Or Is It?
 

This evening if you travel along Harvey Street in Oswaldtwistle be careful or you might be done for speeding.
Our local beat bobby Steve has parked his van outside the youth centre and has set up a speed trap. It is a trap with a difference, the local youths are using the camera to spot speeders.
After talking with Steve last week he explained that he has been monitoring speed on the street and over Stanhill to determine if there is a speeding problem. He was pulling cars over and telling them to slow down.

Tonight it looks like he is involved in a bit of youth liaison with his speed trap. We stopped for a chat as we passed to see what was going on with a young lad using the camera.

Ossy really is lucky to have Steve looking after our streets. He is hard working and very dedicated to his job and the area. Working with these youths is just one of the many things he does for the area. I wish all of our Police Officers were as dedicated.
