Derelict Buildings in Hyndburn

In and around hyndburn there are loads of derelict buildings, and i have wondered many times about what good use these buildings could be put to.
If You had the money and the know how which building would you pick, what would you turn it into and why?

I will lay the first stone so to speak:-
The old Halfords building.
I would turn it into a coffee bar/ cyber cafe and maybe sell some computer parts. That way lads we could drop the better half in town to do the shopping and keep ourselves happy in the process:D

Something surely could be done with the old karrimor place, how about a decent hotel or flats or anything :)

I agree, the old Karrimor building would make ideal flats. It was originally Walmsleys leather works, then it became Mastabar Beltfasteners, then Karrimor.
I am including a photo taken by Owd Bert last year.

it's just such a shame it could look really good if someone could afford to put the effort in

I think that there are 2 prime buildings that could be put to better use.

Sacred Heart church could be used as a Mosque
And the fine building that contains nothing sensible (between the end of Broadway and the Market Hall) could be used as a Learning Centre, then finally something good may come out of it!
