I'd just like to say a big thank you to the Stanley lads for my "get well" card & flowers yesterday. I'm not really into flowers, but, it was a wonderful suprise & a great gesture.

Thanks

Sorry to hear about what happened, a similar thing happened to my eldest son around about Christmas time, he stepped in to help someone and got a smack in the mouth for his trouble, it's no wonder people shy away from getting involved in these situations.

I think its bad too but who in their right mind tries to stop a violent fight these days? Anything could happen, one of them couldve been carrying a knife or smashed him over the head with a glass or something.
I think he got off quite lightly.

Its nice that he tried to help, but its not really the best option these days and most people wouldnt bother.

Well some of us do step in without a thought and without thinking of the consequences... especially when the adrenlin cicks in.. and as jay has said it wasn't a full on brawl when he intervened more 3 lads picking on another.. and I commend him for doing so :)

I got glassed in the head last year. I'd still try to help somebody again though. Turning a blind eye isn't my thing. What would have happened to the guy I tried to help, if I hadn't intervened?
