Oh yes, click here for something completely different but here's where if you click on 'home' they apparently don't have one. This link also states that they have 4 offices whereas the previous one says they have 2 and yet the previous one was reached via the Olympic 'interactive animation' - see what I mean about confusing?

There's probably other bits in other places too but they don't seem to connect.

Yet if you click on this link you get something different

Re: Olympic Logo

Where do they get the silly idea that 'new-thinking consumers' (whatever they might be) want brands to look different? I want to be able to recognise things. I want my bank to look like a bank. (I use that as an illustration because they did the rebranding of lloyds tsb.) If I'm shopping and looking for breakfast cereal I want it to look like breakfast cereal. I do not want to be dazzled by new brand logo packaging all over the place every other week. I want to be able to recognise what I'm looking for, otherwise (and especially if I'm in a hurry as many of us are these days) I am likely to walk straight past it and buy something else which I do recognise.

Re: Olympic Logo

Since I first saw the logo a couple of days ago I have been speechless. It’s an insult to the Olympic ideal.

If that is an example of the Olympic team’s management skills we can stand by for an even way over budget cost than is estimated now. But then it is easy spending someone else’s money. OURS!!!

The only problem is that currently it is a waste of money - if they scrap it, it is a colossal waste of money.

and since when has wasting the publics money ever been a problem for either elected or appointed officials :confused:, the only time you ever hear the words 'fiscal responsibility ' out of their mouths is when they are lecturing pensioners how to save money by turning the heat down and to wear an extra coat ..:rolleyes:

I think its a waist of money for what it is and i think they could have come up with something better than that, but thats up to them now.

Saw them on the news, and though they looked like two rotten teeth, that'd fallen out of some unhealthily diseased mouth.

At least they compliment the 2012 logo, in that both are atrociously bad designs.

Now we have mascots with the illuminati symbol - eye of Horus

I know this is nothing to do with the olympic signage, but still on the Olympic theme....a newly built swimming pool cannot be used for the Olympic events because it is two inches too short...........what will the world think of us now........? Duh!

They will think we are stupid! Although it's not actually the pool in which the Olympic races will be held. It's in Portsmouth, and was going to be used for teams to train in for the Olympics. Someone forgot that you need space at each end for touch sensitive equipment to measure times.

They can still use it, but will have to use stop watches instead of electric sensors!

Surely, some type of overhead scanning device could be used, in fact off the top of my head I can think of a variety of 'off the shelf', pieces of kit that wouldn't take up any room in the pool itself, for less than the cost of the logo, I'm willing to act as 'cock up consultant', and am willing to work within the H&S boundaries that will ensure the minimum of deaths and maimings from my third world choice of machinery.

You mean like a bar code reader? The swimmers would have to wear swimming caps with black and white bars on them. A bit inconvenient, maybe, and they would look ridiculous, but it might just do the trick!

:alright:

No, nothing so sophisticated, all my designs involve 240v and some waterproof plasters, but please don't press me for the details, or the whole idea may be stolen by a foreign manufacturer.

Yes, but Portsmouth reckon it will lose revenue as a result of the mistake and everyone seems to be blaming everyone else for the booboo.
