Worst Driving you've seen?
come on whats the worst piece of driving you've seen?
For me its probably my own :o oh wait no... it was some ****** on the m6 who was just weaving in and out cutting people up. i hate when they do that its one thing to do it when the traffic is at standstill but when ur moving at 80mph and u got a nitwit pullin in and out its too much |
Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
80 m.p.h.? Naughty! Maybe the guy was trying to drive in the left-hand lane, except when overtaking, as you're supposed to do. ;)

I didn't say he was a good driver. :D |
Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
Some of the worst driving I've seen is on Audley Range in Blackburn, as drivers attempt to drive between or round the speed humps, rather than over them.

Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
I wouldn't know where to start....
I see sooo many incidents I'd be here all day. How about Traffic plod sending a text whilst doing 70mph down teh M62? or the guy who was moving across into my lane ( I was on my bike) untill I knocked on his window to point out there was a bike there already! |
Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
Just depends on what you mean by 'bad driving' Mani ??
Have seen drivers pass me that broke the sound barrier, weavers who would be better on the snow slopes, u-turners whose skill at turning a corner would not be out of place on the Monte Carlo race track, drivers who move from the 3rd lane to a slip road within 100 yards in heavy traffic. Yes, they are breaking the law, but have had to admire their skill sometimes. So which one is it. ? :D |
Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
My own...it frightened me to death (almost literally!).
That's why I packed it in and gave the car to Mrs H! |

Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
I'm a good driver I am :o
Must admit to doing the 3rd lane to slip road in one manouvre kate...realised I was about to miss the turn off for manchester airport so panicked :D |
Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
I found drivers in England were rather good. Nothing like driving up the New Jersey turnpike. If you drive 80 mph on there, you better be in the breakdown lane. It is normal to see some driving 90 - 100 mph. Must admit, does allow me to get back up to New England quicker then the 65 mph allowed!:p

Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
my three worst examples of 'bad driving' are
1 , the woman who thought it was ok to breast feed a baby and drive 2 , the woman applying eye make-up while driving in the fast lane 3 , being overtaken by a guy in the HOV lane orally inflating a blow-up doll   |
Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
can't really comment , go on then I am sure its my own driving:
I passed my test in an automatic, they did not have the theory test in those days... I now wonder if I took my test in a manual one would I have to take the theory? and if I failed it would they take away my automatic licence equally so if I failed both ..... maybe someone knows: ( I am thinking of taking manual lessons ) |
Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
Oh I've seen some wonderful ones.
The guy who meandered about in front of us, indicated left several times at junctions but didn't turn off the road - then he indicated right and promptly turned left! The guy who cut right in front of us on a roundabout to take the exit. The woman who pulled out so far to go round a corner that she ended up on our side of the road. The guy who pulled out of a side road, cut the corner too fine, took the side panel off a stationary coach further down the road and then tried to blame the coach driver for not moving when he saw him coming! The cyclist who cut across a garage forecourt and nearly ended up under a van. (does that count as a driver?) Or the woman who did a 495 point turn in the middle of Lime Road when we were trying to come home from a friend's house one night. |
Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
Worst one I have seen been a passanger in.
The Junction on Haslingden Old Road, the Major one that has had a lot of accidents. The lad was driving from Queens Park way to Ossy at night, down the big dip and up the hill. the Give way at the top, well I dont think he knew it was there as before I knew it we have gone straight threw it @ 50 MPH ish. God I went white and gave him the biggest bollocking ever, to say the least I have not got back into a car with him. |
Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
how about the lady 4x4 driver i met on a country lane who in sheer panic at seeing a coach coming in the opposite direction (bearing in mind you could have got an artic past me) promptly turned her wheels and put her shiny 4x4 into a hedge.
or the little old dear outside west end primary who when faced with the problem of an oncoming coach(not the widest of roads at school kicking out time when everyone is parked on both sides of the road), instead of pulling in to the side decided to pull a 3 point turn and promptly reversed her nissan micra into a garden wall. to name just a couple. |

Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
Only 50!!! You can hit at least 90 down that bit :D
(remember the faster you are going the smaller the window of opportunity for someone going across your path to hit you. this really is a case of faster = better :D ) |

PMSL. 90+ is easy on the straight bit but, the top bend must have been fun at 50 especially when the crossroad appeared :D:D:D |

Re: Worst Driving you've seen?
Nah, that bends easily good enough to be taken at 90 in any decent car(providing of course that you knew the road was going to be clear). as for the crossroads, he wouldn't have seen it before he was across it, its only 15 yds at most from the corner to the white lines, thinking distance at 50mph is 50 feet so he would have been halfway across the road before his brain had registered something was wrong.
I'm still wondering whats taking so long at getting the roundabout there though. I thought they had had the go ahead? |
