I mean its not just any old grafitti but racist anti-religion grafitti
its not just kids messing about with a spray can writing adam woz ere'07 etc but somoene's gone outta thier way to target them. whats the significance of the upside down crosses? http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk...55847.full.jpg YOBS attacked four churches in one night daubing them with racist and anti-religious graffiti. The attacks in Rishton, which caused thousands of pounds worth of damage, have been branded "mindless and totally unacceptable" by one vicar, who said he was sick of vandalism in the town. Targeted were St Peter and St Paul CE Church in Blackburn Road, St Charles RC Church in St Charles Road, Rishton Methodist Church in Albert Street and Rishton Baptist Church in Commercial Street. Among the graffiti was swastikas, upside-down crosses and anti-Asian racist messages. There was also some damage at the town's library in High Street. It's mad isn't it? Apparently it was on garages and bank ATMs too so there's not much connection there to churches or religion of any kind. Sounds like some complete utter nutter.
I can never understand the 'logic' of racism or any ism. People are people. We come in different varieties. We are born in different countries, speak different languages. We have different coloured hair, eyes, skin. We are tall, short, large small. It would be a heck of a boring world if we were all identical clones. What on earth makes any one person think that they are any better than any other person? |
