Inherited traits.
Do you take after your mother or father?
|

I'm like my mother. I enjoy goading idiots, like a cat playing with a mouse.
Thanks Ma.:) |

Re: Inherited traits.
I'm a bit like both of them.....I get my tenacity from my dad and my wit from my Ma (although I'm still only an apprentice wit).

My Mum.
We were sat at the table together about an hour ago, twiddling our hair and working on a sudoku puzzle with Maddie (so wonder who she takes after) and laughing at my Dad's jokes. |
Re: Inherited traits.
I too take after both parents.
My ability to be extremely humble I acquired from my Mother, and my general feelings of superiority over all other life forms I inherited from my Father. Makes for one hell of an internal struggle!! ;) |

Re: Inherited traits.
I am convinced I'm turning into my mother as I get older. I hear myself saying things she used to say.
|
Re: Inherited traits.
Yes Willow, me too....and I find it really really scary......I'm even starting to look like her too
|
Re: Inherited traits.
Watching Siobhan she definately gets some bit from both of us and then some more from grandmas and granddads
e.g. in La veranda last weeked, she scoffed her pizza, had a cartload of icecream, lifted the glass bowl and drained it, put it down, licked her lips and said "MORE!!!" Her granddad to a tee!!!!(He'd have been proud as punch!) Other things she does are me all over again, then theres bits of Julie that stick out like you'd not believe. (She is an Entwistle though, stubborn as owt!) |
Re: Inherited traits.
I have so many traits from both of my parents it would take all night to list them. I'll admit to the good ones and gloss over the not so good. ;)

Re: Inherited traits.
I think I've got some traits from my mum and some of my dad's and I've also got some of my grandma's too.I wonder how long these traits go on being passed down for.Are our personalities inherited like heart trouble or high cholesterol?Do characteristics keep getting passed down like health problems do and can you get 2 or 3 generations of mild, placid people and then suddenly a real loud outspken person is born and it turns out she gets it from great great great grandma and the trait has just cropped up again?

Re: Inherited traits.
When it comes to the kids, both Chris and I see ourselves in both of them (usually when we're pointing out the good bits).
|
Re: Inherited traits.
That's true with our kids too.If it's good behaviour we say oh she gets that from me but if it's an undesirable thing we go ooh she gets that from you! Take all the credit for the good bits yourself and blame the bits you don't like on him! Lol.:)

Re: Inherited traits.

|
Re: Inherited traits.
I am not like either .... I am unique ..... :D
|
Re: Inherited traits.
both parents really, but the fact that i say as i see it with no crap, comes from me dad.:D diplomacy didn't run in the family.
|
Re: Inherited traits.
It's weird sometimes when I see my mother in my youngest daughter because she died before Emz was born.
|
Re: Inherited traits.
I take after my dad.
|
Re: Inherited traits.
If I had to pick one it would have to be mi Dad. But People have always said that while I'm alive mi Nan will never be dead.
|
Re: Inherited traits.
Oooh dear..... I've been trying soooooo hard not to turn into my mum that I have turned into my dad and didn't see it coming
