I not sure which thread to put this in but im sure it will get moved if im not in right one ..

Today my grandsons battery operated car was taken from thier back garden .. please if anyone knows the whereabouts of it please could you im me confidetially if needs be .

Taken from fern gore/willows lane
the car is a mercedes SLK500
maroon/burgandy in colour
last seen in woodnook area

IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO PLEASE PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME...MY GRANDSON LOVES THIS THING AND IS HEARTBROKEN ...

thanks all it is one of those battery ones that you can sit in .... well not you or me exactly hehehe we,re too big:D.. i just hope some one can come up with its whereabouts.. its not exactly easy to hide .so some one will noticed it just appearing ...hopefully...

the fact that it was seen in the woodnook area shortly after it was taken hr makes me think its someone fairly local..

Have you rung the Observer to appeal for its return.
Hopefully somebody from Woodnook area might have seen where its been left or stashed.

I am the unfortunate one who has had my sons car stolen.

Thanks for all the help so far. I do still have the box with the picture on it, but basically it is a 'mini mercedes SLK500' in a maroony colour.

I have let the police know (?! lol) but any help would be gratefully received.

Its quite rare so hopefully will stand out like infamous sore thumb if its still in the area.

Thanks again, if anyone does see it but would like to stay anonymous, please just call the police as it is on their systems

Have you contacted the Observer, with it being so unusual, the more people who know the better, good luck, hope you get it back.

cheers greg, havent done so far been waiting about for police all day and work full time, so got a bit rushed around

Might give them a call tomorrow, once i have got rid of 'bad mother' guilt for leaving the car in the garden!

My fence is about 6 ft high as well, unfortunately next doors is a lot lower so they came over from there.

We have now got the car back , unfortunately its in a bad way and has been stripped down of battery, mirror etc unfortunately it is beyond repair.. but i would like to say a huge thankyou to mez and friends and all concerned in the cars return.... although on this occasion the result wasnt the best one we would never have got a result without accy web ... thankyou once again ....

The batteries are normally just small motorcycle ones, just make sure you get teh right voltage (Some bikes are 6V some 12V).

i didn't want to post on here what it was like. i was hoping it could in some way be fixed .........my friend (who is an accyweb member too) did say it was beyond repair.........i was gutted poor little lad..but at least you have if in bits his car .........

To be honest, it has been stripped of all electrics (inc. the horn), wing mirrors, most of the body of the car, so well beyond repair

Oh....i was happy to hear it had been found.....now sad again to hear that it might just as well not have been. I hope you find that you can claim on your insurance......

:( Oh dear I'm so sorry to hear that it wasn't the happy outcome we originally thought. Presumably the police know who the thief is so have they done anything? It would be great if some AccyWebber could do something to help rebuild it.

great to hear it had been found :) but gutted it's beyond repair :( I would definately check if you have it covered on your house insurance
