anyone want to comment on this news item I came across , to my mind it makes the police look like complete prats ,........

Looks quite cumbersome to me, surely a bike is nippier.

Still while they are test driving gimmicks it keeps the criminals in a job :rolleyes:

It's better than having them in cars where they are too cut off from what's going on, quicker than a bobby on the beat for getting to incidents and yet it doesn't look sensible. I can visualise them becoming targets for gangs of yobbos.

Since Policemen today need only to be three feet two inches high, the extra height this scooter affords them, may be an advantage in a crowd.:D

Untill the first time a copper leaves it to chase some scrote on foot and his mates nick it, its not like its going to be secure now is it. Even if he 'takes teh key' a couple of lads could easily pick it up and carry it away. Next time you see it it will be trying to flip Matilda or something
