They don't use tapes anymore. They upgraded all the recording to digital hard disk type a while back.

So the one's we have in Ossy, and elsewhere throughout the borough, will actually be of some use now?

Everytime something has happened in view of the cameras in the past, it was reported that they have been no use at all in providing information, because they hadn't recorded anything.

Sometimes things happen, are captured and then the recording is lost. That happened to me when something happened to me.
