Just so you know I've voted for:

Taj Mahal
Acropolis
Great wall of china
Kremlin
Easter Islands
Stonehenge
Eiffel tower

Thats the order I would've voted for them for in greatness aswell.

The 7 wonders of the world? Buildings and edifices don't come into the equation for me. I can look back over 6 and a half decades and say that, for me, they are:-

The mighty tree that grows from a tiny seed
The ceaseless waves that crash on the shore
The beautiful sunset on a Summer evening
The delicate lace of frost-decked cobwebs on a country hedge in Winter
The unquestioning devotion of a faithful animal
The love of another human being
The birth of a child

If you email them they might put them in the natural wonders of the world list, there are quite a few different unofficial 7 wonders lists, I was looking at 7 wonders of underwater and obviously the great barrier reef was one and a lake and stuff, I'm no good with watery places but some of them where beautiful.

Make your own unofficial list :D

Interesting that you should leave out the buildings ... when Canadians came up with the seven wonders of Canada, many were a surprise ... the only three "buildings" that came up were the old part of Quebec Cty, Pier 21, where many immigrants arrived, and the igloo ... the Canoe was also one of them. My favorite was the Prairie skies, a breathtaking must see. But I do agree that the intangibles of life are often more wonderful than human "footprints." But I do think the igloo was a good choice.

And a plug for my home town: The Rideau Canal has been declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations: the canal begins at Kingston, and part of the site are the martello towers at Kingston's harbour, and Fort Henry. It's not quite like living in a wonder of the world, but close ....

The collosus (sp) was one of my favourite ancient wonders. The ancient wonders are all amazing though, the new ones dont quite have the same mystery about them as you can still go to visit them.

I would love to have seen the Hanging gardens of Babylon!
