Did I???
How many of us get to work then wonder if we locked the front door??
Or don't really remember the journey there as we have done it so many times before? I'm finding myself increasingly wondering if I've forgotten something and before anyone suggests it's my age, remember I know most of you and I am ONLY 36!!! The number of times one of my sons has told me something and I can't even remember the conversation (ok they could be pulling a fast one I know) When making appointments I have to set a reminder on my phone so I don't forget it!! I really don't think it is a sign of going senile more a case of life being so hectic that sometimes I'm sure I'm meeting myself coming backwards!! anyone else suffering from the same fate?? :o |
Re: Did I???
Glad I aint the only one with these problems. You forgot about thinking is the cooker off. :o Yes I have done that in the past.
I blame errrm errrm errrm |
Re: Did I???
Yeah, it is called going senile, usually starts about 35ish in the weaker species, 50ish for men :D

You really should have taken note of the "remember I know most of you" part of my post Ken....... another thump on it's way and this time I'll mean it :rolleyes: |
Re: Did I???
Always the iron - I have to make a point of saying to myself 'I have switched off the iron' - then when I get to work I can't remember whether I've said 'I've switched off the iron' or not!

Re: Did I???
You've got OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
It's easy to cure...just stop fretting. If your house gets burgled, burnt down, etc., tough.:D |
Re: Did I???
Hmmm Red, think all that pub crawling you've been doing might have greatly diminished some of those valuable brain cells?:p You do remember your pub crawl don't ya?
Thankfully we never lock our doors out here. This is a good thing because I don't remember where I hid the key. However, I'm am very sure it is a great hiding place!:D Brian |
Re: Did I???
Don't feel bad , I set out for work one morning at 6.00 a.m. and instead of taking my usual turn-off carried on found myself in the toll plaza for the Bay Bridge, heading into San Francisco for a night out

Re: Did I???
I'm always forgetting things at the mo, I blame it on being too busy, usually now when I lock the door I say out loud I'm locking the door that way I remeber I've done it.

As for the other side of 70 …. Don’t ask. I am aware that I have forgotten something but for the life in me can’t think what it was even if it happened a second or two ago. To make sure that I do not forget to take the various pills that I have to take or take two lots in one day, I mark the individual pills in the blister packs with the days of the week. Appointments get noted on a calendar that I cannot help but see. |
Re: Did I???
your not the only one what dose that i will do this my self most of the time i go out of my front door and i always go back to see if its lock,t once more

I have a huge chalkboard right facing me as I leave the kitchen to go to the dining room. I write important messages to myself on that.
Do I ever read them? :D What do you think? |

Re: Did I???
Gingko Biloba is a wonderful herb for improving mental agility, (but you can take it if you are on blood thinning drugs)
When I started taking it several years ago I found that it improved my mental faculty so much that I could do the Guardian cryptic crossword in 30 minutes (sometimes) :D |

Re: Did I???
Where can I get this gingko biloba? Did you know there's a tree in Worden Park, Leyland?

Dont think the locals in Leyland would be happy if we started pruning their tree for our own personal use. |
Re: Did I???
Most herbalists sell it in tablet/capsule form. I get mine from Healthspan in Guernsey (vat free). If you google you can find out more about it.
The tree is originally chinese - I think there are some in UK, but few and far between. It also helps poor circulation and Reynauds Syndrome because it thins the blood slightly, but not dangerously. |
