Middle age is the point in one's life where one is financially secure enough to buy enought booze to get s**t faced every night.

I never know what middle age is meant to be.Depends on how old you are when you die as to when you're middle aged I suppose. It used to be assumed that people would live to 70 (three score years and ten) so half of that is 35 so I think 35 is what is referred to as middle aged:)

I don't think it is that arithmetical ... there are subtleties ... like early middle age, old f**t, geezer and so on. 35 is on the young side; for example, if I dated a thiry-five yr. old, I could be accused of robbing the cradle, unless my pick up line went something like: "Will that be cash, or can I use my credit card?";)

My insurance costs me £260 a year, fully comp on a 2 litre Vectra,my younger brother, who is 26, drives the same car as me but the 1.8 litre version and lives in Libpool, his insurance is a shade over £1700,I have 6 points as well, the thing IS,my lickle brother also races stock cars and bangers, theoretically, HE is a better driver than me,I have no idea when it comes to drifting, donuting, handbrake turns etc etc,I have had a license for 20+ years an never had an accident,he had 3 smashes before he turned 17,SO,WHO is the better driver in this sense

Re: Middle aged drivers...

surely the accidents he had b4 he was 17 shouldnt count now?

i think its more to do with where he lives too and the area. alot of differences can be made with small details - i once ran a few fake quotes thru confused.com and the changing of lil details was makin 20-30 quid difference. even something as simple as what job you list. if you put down unemployed it goes up if u put down bank manager/clerk it goes down. kids make the difference, marital status, how many cars u have in the family.
