Went to Macdonald's about 20 minutes ago.

usually routine, pulls up " hiya can I have 2 happy meals, with BOYS TOYS, and a double cheese burger meal please..........."

Village Idiot " sorry we don't do meals "

Me " what you don't do meals?? "

Village Idiot " no we don't do double cheese burger meals, it doesn't have it on my key pad "

Me " since when?? "

Idiot " since as long as I have worked here "

Me " that can't be long you only finished school last week, ok do you do big MC meals?? "

Idiot " yes "

Me " well i will have that then with coke "

Idiot took money and nearly threw change at me..............." window 3 "

got home, one toy boys, one toy girls :rolleyes: YET AGAIN.......every bloody time, but thankfully we got chicken nuggets for kids, usually they mistaken chicken nuggets for fish fingers, seen as it sounds so alike :mad:

Big MC meal consisted of a bun ( which had probably been taken out of wrapping this morning and left on side, and salad that even my mums rabbit would turn his nose up at!!!!

Good Job I wasn't eating it inside!!! cos that school girl would not have been see'ing her key pad minus the double cheese burger meal ever again.

Haha HAD THE SAME VERY THING TODAY , we pull up i asked for a chicken sandwich meal... fine. then the brother wanted a double cheese burger meal this woman went nope we dont have them , and i went you had them last week and the woman just looked at me funny so i just laughed , she didnt say what else there was or what else she could sell me , no ... she just looked at me , so i went can i have a seperate double cheese burger , a drink and chips and then she said that was fine, then we asked can we have sauces ( We had to ask for them!) , she just like threw the little bag at me with no sauces in it and told us to go to the next desk so we did. I just said loud so she would hear " this place gets worse" however the man at the last window was pleasant which was nice however ill keep on going but it really anoys!

Have a look at this.Hopefully it will deter you from buying KFC food.KFC are cruel and barbaric in their slaughtering ways.Sorry if I'm going off the thread a bit.It's just that the mention of KFC really gets me mad:mad:.I'm not against slaughtering animals for food but it can and should be done in a humane way.:mad:

These are some of the reasons I try to avoid fast food places. However, took the family into a McDonalds last week. Whenever I get a meal, I ask them to give me a shake instead of the soda. It costs an extra 20 cents or so but it is doable.

So, I ask this kid to do that and he gets that "village idiot" look. "We can't do that." Why not I ask. "We just can't do that."(as the sweat forms on his forehead). Well, I say, they've always been able to do it before. "Oh, I better get a manager."

So said Manager comes up, hears my request, shows V.I. Joe :D how it's done. These kids are either really rude or just plain robots.

PLEASE people if you want chicken, don't go to KFC......... go to caladonia, its lovely chicken and not half as greasy as KFC.......... i will even give you the number, 01254236616, food is lovely, it's cheaper, gravy is same (( which I was happy about)) and they take no time at all to deliver. :D and there staff are very friendly. (( only cos we are on first name terms now lol )))

I Used to love KFC. After watching that I'm apalled. I won't be going there again. That said, I suppose all the fast food chains aren't conscious of animal welfare. I could never turn vegetarian,but i'd like to think that what I was about to eat would have at least been treated humanely.

Well, if you expect food that tastes like food then you were in the wrong place ... Rotten Ronnies only pretends to be a restaurant, it is actually a massive ad campaign and money grab, only loosely based on 4th rate junk food ... when they have made Ronald Macdonald into a figure who stands second only to Santa (and way ahead of JC) in being recognized by kids, they don't have to serve good food, or hire competent staff. It's amazing how much crap one can sell with good ads, Corona beer is a fine eg.

Yes animal farming is not very pleasant. If you don't like the facts then maybe you should all become veggies. Then you can eat those vegetarian sausages. Talking of veggies, can someone please explain why someone who does not eat meat wants to eats something that looks like minced animal inside an intestinal sack?

When I was married I ate a vegetarian diet for 10 years, but over the last 18 months I've started eating meat again (I saw it as an act of rebellion originally ;) ).

However, I've slowly come to realise that I don't want to eat rubbish anymore. I can buy a chicken from Asda for £5 that will last me the best part of a week, but it'll be pumped full of chemicals and been forced reared. A free-range organic chicken would cost me about £10 or more, but would have been raised and killed far more ethically (whatever).

I'd rather do without than eat the kind of rubbish that is passed off as food nowadays and that includes McDs, KFC, or whatever. The same goes for cheap chickens, meat, or other goods. I'll eat less of it (less regular), but I'll eat better.

Vegetarians that I know do it because they don't want to kill animals - doesn't mean they don't like the taste. Vegetarian bacon is really tasty.

Aw go easy on Neil. Please understand the incredible bias that PETA has. They lie, cheat and steal to try to get their there views consume by an unsusceptable public.

If these people had their way, not only would farming be banned regardless of the treatment of the animals but also they are AGAINST pet ownership.

Think about it, it is in the farmers absolute best interest to present a healthy, humanely treated product for market. KFC isn't about to accept chickens that are damaged in any way. As there isn't any profit in brutalizing the chickens, it would be the rare instance, rather than the norm that it is done.

Also, I have raised these type of meat birds. It's the genes that make them grow so fast rather than any hormones. These things grow grotesquely fast. The get so fat so fast they can barely move aorund easily by 6 weeks.. They also do have heartattacks. I didn't have the stomach for that so only raised them for one season.

Does animal cruelty occur. Yes, WAY too often. Should the abusers be hung by the goands for public display? Yes (IMO)! Are hormones used in the feed, probably more so with the beef industry. Are these chicken houses loud, dusty, smell atroxious, yup.

However, does PETA make up stories and outright lie, leave gates open to release farm animals, destroy millions of dollars of life saving experiments, vandalize people and their homes that don't agree with them, steal and release laboratory animals, etc., etc.. All a big yes.

Shoot, was trying to avoid getting on that soap box. Just hate when LALA landers (Hollywooders with little view of reality) make these type of speeches and expect everyone to succomb and give their full trust and affirmation to them. All the above is just my opinion. Much is based on facts!

Well as long as the coffee from KFC is not ill treated i will continue to buy from there well coffee at least its yum cant stand mcdonalds coffee!

McDs is the only place that always manages to get the order wrong everytime we go! and i always get eggshell in a saus n egg muffin (i think they see me coming!).

Even more so the coffee in Accy Mcd's. I have complained to the duty manager twice in the past couple of months that there coffee is not as strong as any other Mcd's. I'm convinced the machine is faulty

Unless you buy ethically produced meat all the time,100% or are a committed veggie or vegan you really have no soap box to stand on. No one should criticise anyone's carnivorous habits ;even veggies. It's a matter of choice, I now choose to eat meat ( I was veggie for 17 years); are you a vegetarian Lilly ?

No.I'm not a vegetarian.I don't eat a lot of meat but I'm not vegetarian.Vegetarians are strongly against the idea of slaughtering animals for food in any circumstances.As I said before,I'm not against slaughtering animals for food but this can and should be carried out in a humane way.There is no need for the barbaric cruelty practised by companies such as KFC.Why do they do the cruel things I posted in the link in my first post in this thread when it is un-necessary?I won't buy animal products that I know have not been ethically produced.I won't buy from any company that treats the animals cruelly and I won't buy battery hen's eggs as those hens are subject to un-necessary suffering too.

Which brings me on to your next point.

I notice you live in Ossy. If you would like to spend some of your time helping make the park a nice place to visit then I am sure I can sort you out with some very fresh and definitely free range eggs. ;):D

The chickens are dead befor ethey go in the scalding water bath. First they are elctric shocked, then there jugulars are cut. Any movement that goes on after that is "normal" with poultry. When we have to cut the heads off chickens they really do continue moving around ALOT. However, they are indeed quite dead. Again, it's the PETA people showing still moving chickens going in the vat and saying they are fully alive and all.

The feathers won't release from the bird unless they are dead. Hence, if the birds were going in alive, it would be a machine malfunction that would be quickly corrected.

So - next time - spend 15 minutes making burgers with minced beef, a little flour and a beaten egg. Fry them in a little olive oil (or grill them) and put them on warm wholemeal rolls with lettuce, tomato, relish and Light Mayonnaise and top each one with a cheddar cheese slice. Give them a milk shake each.

The toys break within a few days, or are lost, so not worth bothering about. Home made is a quarter of the cost, no petrol for the journey, takes the same amount of time as driving to and from MacDonalds and more fun if you let them help make them. I wouldn't give tuppence for a Big Mac.

Accy MD's are absolutely rubbish [cept for viks in the staff dept] the food is disgraceful, we dont bother & kids do only at protest hehehehe once we had to take a coffee back several times as the several replacements were still fished out from dish water rather than coffee:(

Personally, I've always found McD's Customer Assistants to be polite and pleasant, it's generally the customer being rude and arrogant (I Pay For My Meal, I'll Treat You As I Please sort of attitude) that makes them rude.

I don't really like Mc'Ds, the food is crap and I'd rather go to the chippy, but the Customer Assistants are great. The food being crap and things being unavailable ain't their fault, they're just relaying a message.

I hope she spat in your burger tbh! :)
