blackburn road/eagle street
Anybody any idea what the incident was at the bottom of Eagle Street this evening about 6.30pm
there were 2 fire engines, an ambulance and the police were stopping traffic |

Incident Flat 30th July 2007, 6:08pm Incident number: 3209 Number of appliances: 3 Appiances Address: Blackburn Rd, Accrington Fire involving first floor flat. One male neighbour suffering effects of smoke refused hospital treatment. 2 B.A....Hose reel. Vent unit By fire severe to food. By smoke moderate to room of origin. Light by smoke to bedroom and hallway. So more than likely it was that. |

sounds like a food hopper is a silo/ grain holder type thing. the chap is lucky to have got out alive, many accidents in them every year.
