They are herbal, a little like calms. She said they worked for her but gave her bad indigestion, that's why she gave them me.

I only started taking them today, so can't report if they are working.

The most commonly used herbal for sleep is Valerian (not to be confused with Valium which is a prescription nasty) and hops (why beer has a mild sedative effect)
If you look at the small print you will probably see them listed as ingredients.
