Foot and mouth.

Im sorry if this is in another thread but just wanted to know. And to some it might be a silly question but....

What threat does it have to humans if any at all?

Humans can catch it, but the main threat is the increase in the price of beef and lamb which would result from culling

Foot and mouth disease is nothing to do with 'what we can and can't eat'.

The good news is that there is a real hope that it will be contained this time. Last time it started in sheep, which are known to be more mobile than cows (not just the animal, but the distances they are transported) and therefore the disease spread faster.

Fingers crossed it will all pass over. So many people were devastated by foot and mouth last time.
