sounds about right, in my previous jobs we were always preparing for christmas ( building trees etc..) in august as all the christmas stock display were bought in jan/feb...

I don't want to think about Christmas in August.It doesn't seem like 5 minutes since last Christmas.The word should not be mentioned until at least October.All the rigmarole starts so early these days you're sick of it by the time it arrives.It's also lost all its original meaning and is far too materialistic in my opinion.Christmas is a time when I really feel sorry for anyone who works in a shop and is forced to listen to 'Simply having a wonderful Christmas-time' on a loop from Mid-September onwards:eek:

Bah humbug from me too ! Kick christmas back into December where it belongs ! I haven't even had my summer hols yet ! Blummen ridiculous ! I for one am not looking forward to it this year. Grrrrrrr :(

I think this is sort of related: are you guys having the same problem we are with some wanting to be politically correct and replacing, for eg., "Merry Christmas" with some crap like "Happy Hollidays."?:(
