Vandals cut Hospital Phone Lines
I find it hard to believe what I have just read.
What the hell are we coming to? It takes 1800 policemen to control a bunch of protesters. Policemen are being used to control watching Sky TV without licence in Pubs etc. I think it's time that the government and the local politicians stop pussyfooting about and get hold of this before it's too late. I have been accused today of being a trouble maker by PM on this website but when I read a post like this I wonder who really wants to start trouble. Be your age. You know exactly what I meant in this post if not I will explain it to you. Policemen are employed to do silly jobs when they could or should be looking after the infrastructure of our country instead of chasing non entities across the length and breadth of this land and make them look important. My way would be to thow a fence round the camp they live in encircled with razor wire and don't let them out until they promise to go home and stop acting like prats. I hope that is now clear to you. |
Re: Vandals cut Hospital Phone Lines
I think you are being a bit pedantic less although I can see what you are saying, perhaps royboy could have phrased his opening thread better but the overall picture was (fairly) clear.
When he (royboy) made the following statement: "I think it's time that the government and the local politicians stop pussyfooting about and get hold of this before it's too late." I realised exactly what the thread was all about:D There was an article in todays "Daily Mail" (Front Page) that criticised the effectiveness of Community Support Officers who earn up to £24,500 per year.(NEARLY £500-00 PER WEEK:eek:) On average, they make an arrest once every SIX YEARS!! They can hand out fines for "anti social behaviour," "public disorder" and "motoring offences" but do so at a rate of one every four months (average) I see such "crimes" on a daily basis as do you I am sure, and the rest of the community as well, so royboys statement that: "I think it's time that the government and the local politicians stop pussyfooting about and get hold of this before it's too late." stands true! As for the idiots that have caused chaos at Heathrow Airport, most are middle class prats that have almost certainly used the same airport to fly to their holiday destinations in the past, how many can hold their hands up and say " I don't go abroad because of the destruction of global warming??" Like most campaigns, there are a few that jump in just to cause mayhem and trouble and the weaker "supporters" go along with them! If it took 1,800 officers, then I would consider them necessary considering the events of the past couple of years and the fact that security at Heathrow was at risk.........but in which case, why can't 2 cops be spared for a break-in or cases of threatening a pensioner?? ASK THE GOVERNMENT!!! |
