i just read the article, and they want ways of how to track it, isnt that a bit like standing in the middle lane of the m6 and saying "yep that ar-tic is sure gonna cream me"?

instead of standing in the same lane and shooting the tyres offa the goddam thing?

So we are due to go the same way as the dinasours - so be it - I just feel so sad for the people who will have to live through a spell of misery leading to a premature death - and if you believe in reincarnation you might be amongst it too.
There are too many of us on this planet now. If some humans survive I hope they remember the mistakes we made and build a better new civilisation.

look at technology over the last 50 years. Its an exponential curve, 5 years ago my mobile phone wouldn't take a picture, now its 3Meg with Sat Nav, streaming TV etc. In teh time it takes this thing to reach us we will have a myriad of options in dealing with it.
Stop worrying and leave it to us techies to save teh day!!!!

This is a joke, eh. Two minutes before impact the UN will move it up on the agenda ahead of a discussion of the dangers of Dutch Elm Disease in the Gobi Desert, the US will blame the whole thing on Osama, and not interfere because it might hurt the economy, Canada will be debating whether the comet is a Federal or Provincial responsibility, Europe will be entagled in a debate on Farm Subsidies etc. etc. etc. I think Bruce Willis is a better bet.:eek:
