Chipped tooth

Is it possible to get a tiny chip in a tooth filled or does it have to be filed down? I chipped one of my teeth last night and it's scratching my lip so I'm going to have to go to the dentist.

I'm not a fan of dentist's.:D

I don't know Gayle.....i chipped a tooth on hols and smoothed the rough edge off with a fine daimond nail file....though i wouldn't suggest that you do the same.
I think that now I have conquered my fear of the dentist(I think)....I would ask for his advice.

My mum fell at work earlier this year, and chipped her tooth. The dentist has worked his magic, and without the need for a crown or a veneer, it now looks fine.

I would think that any dentist worth his salt should be able to sort it for you.

I chipped a tooth ages ago and the dentist did a little mending job but periodically it fell off and I needed to have it done again - in the end I just gave up on it and adopted the 'Tarby' look.

Get yourself to the dentist, Gayle. They will probably be able to file it for you if the chip's only tiny:)

You could always opt for one of these, to go with your bad girl tattoo.:D

Pleased to report that the Dentist was fantastic. She started by filing it down then used some amalgam and filled it in. I was expecting it to cost a fortune but it only cost £16.

That was very reasonable, it costs more than that for a check-up:)

I should think you would get it sorted at the dentist with no fuss but it may cost you a weeks wage.
