Re: Gipsies cost £6000
Remember last time we complained on AccyWeb about the travellers? (I refuse to call them gypsies because they are not Romany. They are just people who think they can come and go as they please and have no sense of responsibility to the environment and to other people. ) We were criticised for being 'racist' and intolerant and even called Nazis!
Perhaps the people who think we are nasty to the poor travellers would like to experience them camping next door to them! It's appalling that local residents should feel intimidated and afraid to leave their own homes, not to mention the mess these people leave behind. And it's costing us money to get them to move on, only to be replaced by the next batch. It's not as if there are not official places where they can set up camp without causing all this trouble. |
Re: Gipsies cost £6000
why don't the council drop a skip as soon as they land and then there would be no clean up bill
|
Re: Gipsies cost £6000
And as they move on from one place............they set up in another!!!
Yes the field next to mount carmel school!! :( They arrived friday, and still there now!! ATM they are NOT making a mess and haven't caused any aggravation!! We will see  |

Re: Gipsies cost £6000
Why not confiscate their caravans and sell them or is that to easy, anothrr way put a load of twisted bent 6inch nails spot welded together and chuck them in the road they come and go on, or better still put the land they move on too to some use and build a wall round it. If they had no land to go to, they would not come, as soon as they come or go they are onthe mobile to the rest of the 'tribe' .this town more than fullfills it's committments to the human rights of the travelling community. so they cannot say we do nothing for them, how many sites have we? They will not use them as they are managed by travellers and they have to collect money off them. These do not wish to pay, just scrounge.
