I don't like your friends...

Has anyone ever been in the situation where a partner/husband has said that they don't like a friend of yours?

No, but we've had it the other way round, where I haven't liked a friend of his and they haven't liked me. It's hard work.

Yes, over 20 years ago I had to decide between my best mate and my partner, my mate was considered to be a bad influence but to be honest I was most likely to be the black sheep of the two of us. It was me that was the drinker, fighter, dim wit and everything that goes with odd friendships, there should have been another way of doing it as I lost my best mate, and he was someone I grew up with him after leaving Accrington. I’ve seen him once since when his dad died about eighteen years ago.

One question, is you friend Male or Female. Threat or Fancy.

yep even worse, wanted me Best Mate to be my Best Man when i got wed early 70s,my missus to be said NO dont want him at the wedding, never mind best man, she was frightened of him, as the only time she had ever seen him was fighting with the police n thrown in the back of the black maria, i tried to explain he was a great bloke, just one who took crap off nobody etc all to no avail, anyway after we were wed i obviously kept in touch cos we'd been mates since childhood, 3 years later when we were expecting our daughter, she said to me ask ****** to be her godfather please, i was gobsmacked, she had got to know him by then n thought the world of him, he accepted n she explained to him why he was not at the wedding, n he said he understood n he wouldn't have had himself there either.pmsl it turned out a great friendship that lasted till she passed away.;)

disagree big time, you live with people cos you love em normally, and as a partnership something that makes the other uncomfortable/ frightened should not be acceptable, i think she would be better off putting you in that position.:p

Yup it's happened to me; it's usually jealousy on the part of the partner or the friend in my experience. I just carried on regardless and guess what...I still have my friend !;)

Never happened to me with a human, tho' one girlfriend suggested that I get rid of my dog!!!!!!!! I don't be effing thinking so. Come to think of it, most of my good friends have four legs and are covered in fur.

My better half and I must have great friends because this has never been a problem for us........29 years and counting.

People that make statements like that should do as Robert Burns said, and look in a full length mirror.

That's exactly the same with Cindy and I . Both with the friends and the years together.
