Getting the council to review the road lines...
can it be done?
basically where i live there's a block with three houses adn parking for 3 cars and across the road you have a single yellow line with parking from 8am to 6am prohibited not really a problem in theory but then my house is on the corner of blackburn road where the shoppers AND shopowners to those places park too so you've got 3 parking spots for about 7-8 houses/shops! if cars are parked on both sides no obstruction is caused and trucks and fire engines can pass thru no problems. yesterday i got my 3rd parking ticket in one month for parkin across the road - the one yesterday at 9.08am and considering i work evenings/nights there's no chance i would've woken up to move the car at that time. so i was considering in asking the council to change the single yellow line and remove it all together would that be possible? if so where would i head to? |
Re: Getting the council to review the road lines...
I think it may be LCC. It would probably be a good idea to get the opinions of everyone else in the area, which presumably will be the same as yours, to back up your case too.

highways they will listen to your request then send a team of surveyers to watch traffic flow and if youre lucky they will respond to your problem |
