Surely there was a better way?

Coming back from town on the Fern Gore bus we were delayed coming up Ormerod Street.

A vehicle breakdown transporter was hoisting a broken down car up onto it's ramps. The car was on Perth Street at one side of Ormerod Street and the transporter was on Perth Street at the other side of Ormerod Street and they were dragging the car by cable across Ormerod Street thus holding up all the traffic going up or down.

Couldn't they have managed it without doing that across the middle of such a busy road?

I am sure if their was an easier and quicker way of doing it they would have have. No point wasting good tea drinking time doing it the hard way :D

That would take brains planning several meetings 3 managers 3 supervisors and one grunt. Definately quicker doing it that way unfortunately.
