Personally I would create a large transparent dog **** bin and put him in there for a week while it's in use, preferably in the middle of his home town.

Screw human rights for the accused. If found guilty they should lose that right and be treated as they treated others. We are that soft and tied up in crud that when a victim is treated that badly its become normal then we need to sort it out.

This particular piece of scum has just received three years, which is obviously totally inadequate, but I've long since given up expecting anything else from the British judicial system. I hope the other cons really inflict some serious damage on him, while he's banged up.

I still have faith in the judicial system Wynonie. There is no excuse for what this animal did to his poor victim, unfortunately though when you give the media over to everyone (You Tube etc) imbeciles use it for their own twisted version of humour.

He will receive his comeuppance in gaol, he will end up being some blkes bitch for the period, I just hope it teaches him respect.

However though, it will not stop "happy slapping" and prats videoing stupid, violent and degrading behaviour.

They should also bang up the people who watched, filmed it on the mobile, and cheered him on, as this lady was dying a very painfull death, Pancreatic rupture or anything to do with it IS VERY PAINFULL.( u ok S?.)

Sorry, Stan, but I don't share your faith in British justice. I assume that this slimeball will get early release, so his sentence is ludicrously light. I would also refer you to the moron who punched a 96-year old war veteran, blinding him in one eye. The guy walked free, because the judge said it was "in the public interest!"

Understand what you say Winonie and the guy who punched the 96 year old and a couple of others in recent weeks seem to show a backsliding of justice. However this has always been the case.

Also I see the fact that, people appear to have got let off lightly, as news worthy means in general people are being punished for their crimes correctly.

The other thing is if we do lose faith in the justice system it can only lead to mob rule and vigiliantiism.

To be quite honest, a large proportion of cases that I see in the papers or on TV seem to involve inadequate sentences.

I would also say, judging from the views expressed on this site and people I talk to, that the majority of the British public have lost faith in the justice system.

But that's just an old-school, unreconstructed, "hang 'em high" (to quote Steeljack's phrase) type talking! ;)

It is nigh on impossible to have faith in a system that lets attackers like the one who attacked the war veteran to walk free IMO.
