First it was their girls now its their workers
that are too good! *L*
talk about biting the hand that feeds u - critising the british public! The food giant Sainsbury's says recent immigrants have a better work ethic than their native counterparts. In a submission to a House of Lords committee examining the effects of increased migration, the supermarket praised their "superior" attitude. Harder-working eastern Europeans were even having a positive influence on British workers, the company added. But local councils say they are being unfairly strapped with hidden costs in providing services to new arrivals. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7035441.stm |

Re: First it was their girls now its their workers
I think "better work ethic" is a euphemism for "they will put up with more s**t, and crappy working conditions than the indigenous population."

Re: First it was their girls now its their workers
What i want to know is ......who is behind all globalization bulls**t ,whos making the money ?, mass importation of workers from third world countries to the detriment of local/native populations ,resulting in declining living standards and cultures, destruction of local industries thru cheap imports, its not just in the UK , its happening to most 'western democracies' including the U.S. ,seems to me the only industrialized country which is not being overun is Japan a country with a strong sense of nationality and nationhood.

Re: First it was their girls now its their workers
If there was no profit in allowng cheap immigrant lsbour , who know little about our Health and Safety law,s the Corporate 'Bulls' would find a way of keeping them out. Not only are they a source of cheap labour they are keeping the benefits system increases artifically low, thus causing hardship to genuine claimants.

Re: First it was their girls now its their workers
There is a report in the Telegraph that many workers at Express Gifts are doing twelve hour shifts six days a week in the build up to Christmas. Many of these workers are Eastern European, what has happened to Health and Safety?
