my baby is due january 21st does anyone else think its stupid buying her christmas presents
|
Re: is it stupid
yep, :) look she's going to cost you a fortune for the next 50 Christmasses - save your money or spend it on yourself while you can, you won't get chance after Jan 21st.
|
Re: is it stupid
Yes, I think your daft too, treat yourself while you can

Don't go overboard though. No point in spending too much, wait until she's older and more aware of what's going on.:) |
Re: is it stupid
Yes her first Christmas will be next year and she'll be just the age to notice what's going on. It will be a very lovely first Christmas.
|
Re: is it stupid
It's ok buying them but you could have a hell of a job opening them when you give them to her :)
A visit from Father Christmas may be a suprise for both of you :rofl38: |
Re: is it stupid

Re: is it stupid
That's a briefer way of putting it, Neil. :D

Re: is it stupid
Isn't the whole point of Christmas presents for children so that they can wake you up at 4 a.m., making a lot of noise, then be so tired by tea time they (and you) have a massive tantrum? Well if she decides to do that this year it'll be all your own fault. :D

Re: is it stupid
Hmm well I could blow all your theories of not buying christmas pressies for her baby due in jan...
My eldest was due in feb and was born christmas morning  Hey Kathleen, you could always buy something for the baby that you feel you couldn't justify spending normally and tell yourself it's her first pressie :D Nah stuff that, treat yourself instead :p |
Re: is it stupid
thnks peepz just got a few little gifts
|
Re: is it stupid
My youngest was born on 13th December, I bought him a few gifts, and other people did, but it was mainly clothes and stuff like that :)
|
Re: is it stupid
Yes......you are mad......this baby is going to cost heaps before you know it.
Spend the money on something for yourself.....heck you won't be able to once the baby arrives...or for the next couple of decades. |
Re: is it stupid
Very simple answer. Yes it is silly.
|
Re: is it stupid
Personally, I'm as tight as a gnat's chuff and wouldn't bother this year, or next year either.....:D She will have no idea that you haven't got her any pressies. Family and friends will buy her stuff and she will probably prefer to play with the wrapping paper. Spend your money on yourself while you still can...:)

Re: is it stupid
Let me get this right .. you wish to buy Christmas presents for a child that is not due to enter our world until well into January ..:rolleyes:
Gosh, Kathleen, please don't even think about it !! Novel idea, but before we know it, we will all be expecting to send cards to the 'expected new arrival' if our commercial world ever gets hold of this idea ! Gosh, will be fun thinking of some titles there ... e.g. 'Happy Christmas to the 8 month female foetus' LOL. Best present you can give her is to take care of yourself and say a prayer to your God, that she will be healthy, beautiful and born with a generous heart, etc. Enjoy your Christmas. xx |
