I Has My Flu Jab On Monday, Thought I'd Got Away With It As In Previous Years..............nope, Our Susan Started With "the Cold" Thats Going Round Her Friend Gave It Her, So She & My Mate Trish Have Kindly Given It To Me, Who Else Is Suffering Too?.

Paris has gone back to bed, dont know wether its flu,or virus, but shes been rough about 4 weeks now, get well soon Mez, n hope you recover quicker.;)

I had the jab Thursday last week and spent 7 days mostly sleeping -the list of possible side effects didnt say 'feel whacked'

Poor you, Mez, I hope you soon feel better. Having had flu (real flu) last Christmas and bronchitis/feeling-half-dead all through August I'm rather dreading my flu jab next week. :(

Sadly the flu jab won't stop you getting those nasty colds.

Keep warm, have a regular tot of something warming, and I hope you feel better very soon.:)

I'll volunteer spug as your nurse Mez - he looked after me when i got the cold when he was down. Plenty of fluids - (thats a great excuse for them hot toddy's), go to bed and curl up with a book and 2 duvets and great tip turn your mobile off and unplug your phone, you'll feel better tomorrow.

They do not 'do' for everyone it gives you a mild dose of a certain strain,best left alon in my opinion. If your immune system is low they can be fatal.

I was told i had to have the flu jab. Twice i got caught off the nurse when she came to give my mum hers and seeing as shes a family friend i couldnt really refuse when she came after me with the needle. Twice i got the flu and was really ill with it both times i ended up in bed for a week. So now i refuse to have the flu jab and doc told me i should have it but it was my decision whether to have the jab or not. I said no thanks and hes put it on my records now that i dont need to have it. Thank god for that!!!!

Two years ago I coped with real flu entirely alone -crawling from the bed to the bathroom was great fun :rolleyes: and being trapped in the bath for a hour because I was too weak to get out of it.
I am glad to have had only 'weariness' for a week if it means I wont get the real thing again

Hope youe feeling better soon Mez, I dont have the jab even though its offered for work only had flu once but that was bad enough.
