I awoke during the early hours of Saturday morning with severe pains in my chest and left shoulder. I'm normally a healthy sort of person and this scared the living daylights out of me.

After sitting on the balcony for a little while, not daring to move, I decided that I needed a little comfort and woke 'im indoors.

He was all for sending for an ambulance but the thought of hospitals was more scary than the pain. I carted on until late afternoon but then decided that I needed a little help.

Within minutes of arriving at the Clinic I'd had an ECG and a blood pressure test. They were a little worried about the latter but my heart was ok. After an injection in my bum and a twenty minute wait, they pronounced the all clear.

I'm still not sure what caused the pain, happen indigestion, but I'm fine now and have nothing but praise for the help I had.

A small population ,and it is the spanish health service surely. This health service in Spain has always been good, best of luck June.

I'm fine now and Saturday just seems like a bad dream. Thanks for your concern and good wishes.

Glad you're feeling better June, and that you received such good care from your health service.:)

I've just booked a flight, to go and spend two weeks before Christmas, with my friends on your neighbouring island...but hopefully will not get to see just how good your health system is.:D
