Goth's Attacked In Burnley
It has been reported that four Goth's or Mosher's as some people call them were attacked with sticks and bottles in Burnley at tea-time on Saturday. The youngsters were attacked by up to twelve youths and if a member of the public hadn't stepped in the outcome could have been much worse according to the police. It is only a couple of months since Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend were set upon in the same way. Sophie died and her boyfriend was lucky to recover. What gives these morons the right to attack somebody just because they dress differently? If things carry on we are going to see more deaths of innocent teenagers who dare to have their own style!!!!

Re: Goth's Attacked In Burnley
It would seem that we need more High Visability or Zero Tolerance policing....Heck, I thought that was what they got paid for in the first place. Only time I ever see a copper is zooming up Burnley Road or summat, after the fact.

Re: Goth's Attacked In Burnley
I know where you are coming from but we are talking Saturday tea-time here, what right have these yobs got to attack someone just because they don't like how they dress? My niece is a Goth and you could not wish to meet a nicer more respectful girl. Yet she has had to hide from morons like this in the past. It is about time people were allowed to express their individuality without fear of being set upon IMHO.

Were they Ostrogoths or Visigoths ?

Re: Goth's Attacked In Burnley
It's appalling that people can't walk safely through the streets at tea time. Perhaps if there was a more visible police presence it would help.
