Sad News - For those of you that knew our secret
 

There was a number of you who found out at the September meet that I was pregnant. Sadly this is no longer. We would be grateful if you don't say anything about it when you see us at the next meet, as it is difficult enough to come to terms with things without being reminded about them.

Sorry to hear that news, and also sorry to neglect your feeling of not mentioning, but I will, I'm sure that all the people that knew about it, will be disappointed for you, it is always sad when a pregnancy ends like this but, please don't hide it from your friends they only want to share your joys and console you through your losses.

Please let us share it with you, it will one day help.

Sorry to hear that and will respect your wishes if I am at the next meet. Though I have to say I agree with Less your friends are there for good or bad times. They are always willing to listen and offer words of encouragement.

It's never happened to me personally although I do have friends that have gone through it so I don't know what to say really.

im really sorry about yor loss i know what your going through we lost a baby at 23 weeks in to my pregnancy time will heal

Hi all the way from Canada. I have suffered through six miscarriages. Three before the birth of my first daughter, Justine who is now 21, and three between her and our second daughter, Colleen who is now 18. Funny enough though after Colleen was born the doctors pretty much told us that we should go on with life and enjoy our two girls because we couldn't do this alone.....we had a lot of medical intervention for these two.......10 years later as I turned forty....guess what.....I was pregnant with my third daughter, Holly. Holly is now 10 and thankfully is still living at home. Our older girls are off at university in other cities.......So keep your chin up and keep smiling...I noticed you have a two year old so you know you can do it! And watch out when you turn 40!!! ha ha

I am sorry to hear this sad news....although we haven't ever met I feel like I know you from the forum.
It is really hard to lose a baby, and it is hard for us to know what to say, however, I do know it is better to say something than to say nothing and pretend the baby never existed. Yes it is painful for you, and you will shed tears, but at least if people offer you their heartfelt sympathy, you will know how many people care about you. Kindness and concern can make you weep, but the tears will heal you.....take care of one another, talk to one another and take time to grieve over your lost little one, Love to you both.

So sorry to hear that Julie and Ian. I know what you're going through, been there myself and I can fully understand how you may not wish to talk about it at an AccyWeb meet when you are just there to socialise. You know that there are plenty of people here sending you virtual hugs anyway and can empathise with you. It's hard and I don't think you ever get over it even though you have other children. I always wonder about the ones we didn't have and often grieve for them as I would for the loss of any loved one. Sometimes people ask me why I waited so long to start a family. I didn't wait. It's just the way it was. Knowing that others have been through the same thing doesn't make it any easier but at least you know that we know what it's like and we feel for you at this time.

So, not mentioning it when I see either of you of course doesn't mean that I don't care - just respecting your wishes.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts and wishes.

I'm sure you will all understand that Julie and I are both very upset about this and its one of those things that everywhere we seem to look there are new babies. Our request was based purely that we don't want to be constantly be reminded of it and for those akward moments when people don't really know what to say to us. We will both of course remember in our own way.
