I would have more enthusiasm for Bonfire night if the Guy Fawkes mob (he was just a patsy) had succeeded in his plot.

It was quite bad round here at up to about 9pm. Can't hear anything now though. It doesn't seem to have been as bad this year.

Heard loads of fireworks going off round here. One of our cats was fascinated by them, watching the rockets. He's a weird cat.

As I just wrote under Mez' Christmas card thread, I had hoped to light my bonfire tonight. Still too dry though. This pile I've got is ~8 feet high and ~ 10 feet across. My apologeze to the green folks but it is something that's gotta be done with all the clearing and cutting going on!
