Pedants claim over pendants purge

If you are visiting scotland take down the furry dice, the air fresheners etc otherwise you might just get fined.

They'd have a problem round here with taxis as most of them have something dangling there. What about those air freshener things too? They are designed to be dangled from your mirror!

Mr Aleks 06-11-2007 19:37

Re: No more furry dice.....

You cant see why? Ok well if you grab the steering wheel quickly and turn to avoid something it could just slide around the wheel.

It is about time they clamped down on drivers using mobile phones. There are loads driving round with their mobile to their ear completely oblivious to what is going on around them!!

Mr Aleks 06-11-2007 19:42

Re: No more furry dice.....

That too. Just use a headset like me.

Fluffy steering wheel covers are practical. They do not get hot in hot weather.

Re: No more furry dice.....

That it may be jacky but ive seen quite a few women driving with pink fluffy covers. Just for that they should be looking at jail time!

Warm if a steering wheel gets too cold?

I have actually had a car where the steering wheel got too hot when it was parked in the sun.

They should ban nodding dogs from the back shelves too - really irritating to be in a traffic jam with one nodding at you

Re: No more furry dice.....

No fuzzy dice!!!! You gotta be kidding. Next thing you know they will be banning black velvet paintings of Elvis because it will infringe on the aesthetic values of artsy people. I have a 1950 Ford Coupe, loaded with tacky toys from Canadian Tire. It's my fashion statement. I even have an old plastic jesus on the dash. I think I need it at the highway speeds I drive at (under the hood is a 350 cubic inch small block modified chevy motor). Anyone remeber the old song: "I don't care if it rains or freezes/ Long as I got my plastic jesus/ Glowing on the dashboard of my car."?

Unless they get more strict with the law, it'll always happen. Blame the government. :)

Because the officers probably believe the Gov. is just as messed as I do.

They know people will just get a slap on the wrist so probably don't bother wasting time.

It's the government who make them so weak..

Not a lot happens if you're caught on the road using your phone.

I think its more a case of the Police can't be bothered. They have all the power they need to nick you for driving while using a mobile, they just don't very often.

Re: No more furry dice.....

even though its illegal there are still lots of people talking away on their phones flying out of junctions not taking any notice of on coming traffic and like you say the police cant be bothered. they dont seem to care.
