I think cleveleys is beginning to look really nice now granny . i was up there the other day and when you actually drive along the prom it realy is beginning to feel like a holiday resort .. I think blackpool need to take some pointers from it .. |

I took them in August on one of the nice warm sunny evenings. We had a two hour walk on the beach. It's a job well done by LCC. South Shore as had the same treatment. If the RAF bomb the bit in the middle, we'll have made.

I was taken to Blackpool for only the third time the other week.
After a bracing walk at Cleveleys, we went through the illuminations, and I saw a man shovelling up after the horses that were pulling the carriages. I hope he's not lost his job, now the big jobs are ending up in the horsey Pampers. (Loved the sculptures on the seafront by the way. That big silver globe is amazing.) |
