Culpepper, Virginia
Specially for Brian. :)
While I was in Mallorca I had the TV on in my hotel room one morning. As I came out of the bathroom I saw footage of the main street of your town, followed by an interview with the sheriff and one with a housewife. I have no idea what the programme, which was on BBC World Service, was about as I was having a shower when it started. Anyway, Culpepper looks like a nice place and it's been seen all over the world. :D |

Re: Culpepper, Virginia
THANKS Westender! What a quaint little thread to come upon! It is, at least was, a nice little town when we moved here 12 years ago. At the time it was one of the top 10 small towns/counties in America (had ~10,000 residents). We now have over 40,000 residents (+large number of illegals). But I digress.
I believe that video clip was how we're trying to deal with illegal immigrants. What charming wit from my Accyweb mates. I do work closely with the sheriff on various issues. Nice guy. Neil, very funny Pam Anderson comment. Eric, come on down. We'd love to have ya! I also saw a program about Culpeper on the history channel or discovery. It was all about Culpeper having the only legal distillery that makes Moonshine! I was gonna bring some over this past spring. However, many of my Southern friends say it's not the real moonshine. Something about corn versus pigs feet or Billy Bubs urine! LOL Brian |
