The director was the worst - she said there was nothing wrong with the way that they treated the kids.

The conditions in most of the Eastern European countries are the same...they consider these children to be disposable as they are of no use to the families i.e. they can't pull their weight in the home doing chores and so forth........so they aren't worth the money it costs to feed them, as most of these families have a very limited income.

It is shamefull but the only way to stop this is to educate the parents as it is the way it has always been.
