Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel, Jr. (October 17, 1938November 30, 2007) was an American motorcycle daredevil, a well-known figure in the United States and elsewhere since the late 1960s, and arguably the most iconic motorbike stuntman of all time.

I just realised I read his name wrong and have actually heard of him. I definatly know who eddie the eagle is though!

I think its a shame he died from his illness rather than from doing stunts. I dont particularly know the way he'd view it of course, but I guess some stunt men would like to die doing the thing that they loved, and others would rather not die due to their profession, but I think if it was me, I'd like to go out... well if I was a stunt man, literally with a bang. To best explain it, like how Steve Irwin died doing what he enjoyed rather than from an illness that sucked the life out of him?

I think I have explained that clearly. If I have offended someone for some reason through saying that, well I didnt mean to, I just dont know how to word it any better.

Very true, i guess you cant expect him to still be doing stunts on his motorbike to the age of 69 anyway lol. Guess if he did then he would be being criticised for being reckless or something.

What age did he retire at? (hopes you dont say he DID carry on doing stunts til his 60's...)
