Another Shop Bites The Dust

Not seen it mentioned but the Officers Club shop has closing down signs on it's windows. Another blank space in the centre ?

Gotcha, I always thought that the shop was a bit pricey and a bit out of place. Shame for the employees, but it's a prime location for a new tennant I would have thought.

It's not been there all that long. Is there still one in Blackburn? I was in there a little while ago looking for a Christmas pressie for a friend's son and it looked a bit pricey to me for what they had. There wasn't a lot of choice.

Does this mean we will be getting a new charity shop or maybe a pound shop? Sad to see it closing as it was one of my favourite shops.

no its closed down too, only because they are doing the mall up though, they have closed most of the shops on that side where the officers club was, i think the clothes in there are reasonably priced, Richard buys most of his clothes from there

The lads I live with all love the officers club and think its really cheap. Its got quite alot of chains so perhaps the stock simply wasnt selling at that location. Its hard to put good shops in accrington when its not going to bring in much money. Accrington isn't exactly the best place to go for shopping.

Officers club does quite decent value stuff IMHO. Are we sure its not one of those "Closing down 'prices' sales" where prices is tiny?
