The Canoe Man Cometh
 

The man who was presumed drowned 5 years ago has turned up in London and has now been arrested by Hampshire Police. They say he was well dressed and tanned and they have, allegedly, a photo of him with his "widow" taken in Panama where she is now living.

The "widow" cashed in insurance policies on him worth £½million and recently sold properties in Hartlepool of about the same value. It sounds like the perfect scam but I wonder why he decided to reappear.

If the photo of him being in Panama is true then it's yet another indication of how good our border security is based on the fact nobody seems to know he has been abroad and come back again, or they can't identify false passports :rolleyes:

this made me laugh. i think they prob thought since it was all done in "goodwill" and "innocently" they'd get to keep the money.

That is terrible how on earth can you let your family suffer just for greed? There are some people who words just can't describe. They say what goes round comes round but nothing can ever make up for the worry he's caused his dad.

I just heard on the News on Radio 4 the youngest son says he and his brother want nothing more to do with their parents. I don't blame them.

well the wife appears to have left panama,have given much thought to this thing,and for what this couple have done to their children and relatives, its hard to think of more despicable behaviour, the bitch has probably flown to Rio, ronnie biggs was fine down that way.:(

she left panama yesterday and was due to arrive in the uk at 6 am today, i reckon she's done a runner :D

On the News they said she is reported to be in Miami. This is the woman who said she claimed on the insurance "in good faith". :rolleyes:
