Another Disc Goes Missing
Just heard that the names, addresses and telephone numbers of three million people who had applied for the theory test part of their driving test have gone missing. Apparently this happened way back in May. According to the report no financial details were lost but whether they have or not this is another disgusting error on someones part. Thoughts?

They were in the hands of contractors. The Civil Service has been pruned to the bone to cut the wage bill. Lots of work is farmed out to people who have not been security vetted and have not signed the Official Secrets Act

I don’t know what the hell’s going on regarding the loss of peoples details. I imagine the Government Departments all comply with The Data Protection Act ( on paper at least ) Most of the recent losses appear to be down to gross mismanagement , lack of supervision and poor systems of work practice :(
